The Violet Line serves some of Delhi's most important commercial and residential areas. Starting from the historic walled city at Kashmere Gate, it passes through the government district (ITO, Central Secretariat), the upscale Khan Market and Lajpat Nagar shopping areas, Nehru Place IT hub, and the dense residential colonies of Kalkaji, Govindpuri, and Sarita Vihar before entering Faridabad — one of Delhi-NCR's largest satellite cities with a population of over 18 lakh.

• If you're travelling from Old Delhi to Faridabad, the Violet Line is your best bet — it's a single, direct journey without any interchange needed.
• For Khan Market, exit at Khan Market station (not Central Secretariat).
• The Faridabad section can get very crowded during morning and evening rush hours.
• If you need to reach Noida from the Violet Line, interchange at Mandi House to the Blue Line.
