Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Metro2Go (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use metro2go.in (the “Service”). We aim to collect as little as possible.

Accounts

The Service does not require an account. We do not ask for, and do not store, your name, email, or password to plan a route.

Information We Process

• Usage analytics — with your consent, we use third-party analytics to understand how the Service is used (for example, which pages and routes are viewed).
• Locally stored preferences — we store your cookie consent choice in your browser’s local storage so we do not ask again. This stays on your device.
• Server logs — our hosting may record standard technical logs (such as IP address and request time) for security and reliability. These are not used to identify you.
• Error reports — when a page fails, we send a report to a third-party error monitoring service so the fault can be found and fixed. A report describes the failure itself: the address of the page and where in our code it broke. We configure the service not to send personal data, and it does not record your browsing or replay your session.

Cookies and Analytics

We load the following analytics tools only after you accept cookies via our consent banner. If you decline, they are not loaded.

• Google Analytics 4 — provided by Google. Sets cookies to measure aggregate usage. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
• Microsoft Clarity — provided by Microsoft. Captures aggregated usage and anonymised session replay and heatmaps to help us improve usability. See Microsoft’s Privacy Statement.

Your Choices

You can decline analytics cookies on the consent banner. You can also clear your browser’s cookies and local storage at any time, which removes your stored consent choice (the banner will appear again on your next visit). Most browsers also let you block cookies entirely.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Analytics data is processed by the third-party providers listed above under their respective terms, and error reports are processed by our error monitoring provider under theirs.

Children

The Service is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
