The Yellow Line opened on 10 August 2025 and is Bengaluru's newest metro corridor: 16 elevated stations running south-east from Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Road to Delta Electronics Bommasandra. It exists to serve the Electronic City and Bommasandra employment belt, which had no rail connection at all before it. It is also the least frequent line on the network — only seven trains were available at opening, giving a 10-minute gap between trains, and BMRCL has said this will fall to 5 minutes once the full fleet of 15 arrives.

Interchange Stations

From Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Road the line runs through Ragigudda and Jayadeva Hospital, then follows the Hosur Road corridor south-east through BTM Layout, Central Silk Board, Bommanahalli, Hongasandra, Kudlu Gate and Singasandra. Beyond Hosa Road it reaches the employment belt the line was built for: Beratena Agrahara, Electronic City, Konappana Agrahara, Huskur Road, Hebbagodi and Bommasandra.

• Services start an hour later than the rest of the network, at 6:00 AM rather than 5:00 AM, so this is not the line to rely on for a very early journey.
• The last train from Bommasandra is 10:42 PM, but from Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Road it is 11:55 PM — check which direction you need before planning a late trip.
• Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Road is the only interchange today; for the Purple Line you must change twice, taking the Green Line on to Majestic.
• Central Silk Board and Jayadeva Hospital are built as interchanges for lines that have not opened yet, so today they are ordinary stops.
• Fares rose steeply on 9 February 2025, by more than 100% on some routes before the increase was capped at 71%, making this the costliest metro in India. The chart here is BMRCL's own, effective 14 February 2025.
• Tickets are contactless tokens for a single journey, QR tickets, or a rechargeable smart card; the National Common Mobility Card is issued free at stations in exchange for an old Varshik card, and cards top up through the Namma Metro app, Paytm and Amazon Pay.
• Children under three feet tall travel free, with no age test applied.

The Yellow Line starts later than the rest of the network: first trains are at 6:00 AM Monday to Saturday and 7:00 AM on Sundays, rather than 5:00 AM. It also runs later, with the last train from Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Road at 11:55 PM — though the last from Delta Electronics Bommasandra is 10:42 PM, more than an hour earlier. Trains come as often as every 6 minutes at the busiest times on weekdays; on Saturdays and Sundays the best is about 10 minutes.
